A watercolor of Ophelia done for Studio Art. Our instructor is making us add 3D aspects but I wanted to post it while it would still fit in the scanner. This is a Post-drowning portrait. Hopefully you realize it's from Shakespeare's Hamlet and is not my property at all.

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. Yeah I'm making a tangible river around her and I have little flowers to stick in her hair, plus it's in a box painted ocean-y with fake algae around it. good stuff.

It looks almost as mind-blowing as it does in person [the effect in person is just so amazing it can't be topped]. I'm sure it will come out wonderfully.
If I may suggest something, I do believe you should go with putting real flowers over the fake ones EXCEPT for the top flower. The drawing of it is too amazing to cover. I would put the fake algae over the bottom only, don't have it too much on the sides. Perhaps you could use some form of ceran wrap to add an ocean-water touch? I know they have blue tinted ones.

Good suggestions, Danna! I need more of these and I know your brilliant, so do help me whenever you like. I had to paint over all the watercolor sea today with ugly gloppy acrylic, it makes me sad.
