Haven't updated in forever, Axel's quiz tag forces me to finally post something.
News?
- The Book just hit 87 pages, I can't believe it. We're looking for publishers and agents and stuff (amazingly helpful teacher and librarian). The shock hasn't hit me yet, I hope this all goes well. *crosses fingers*.
- The college search begins, so far so good. I know some nice places that I'm pretty sure will take me.
- This trimester ringed in with 4 straight A's, A B+ and a C (math, of course). Which is a new sort of excellent.
- Zexion wig is being washed today and re-styled. I'm also learning wefting, it's turning out nice.
- Wheelchair Rufus? I think so. Love you Becky, I call the first convention ride on that thing.
- Entered some Writing competitions, If I win I'll tell you guys all about it.
- Growing my hair long again, It's just above my hips now (and still blonde).
- Violin recital this weekend at my music school, I think when we get there we're just going to wing it and do improv and Bach.
- First journal entry for 2009.
- Elena is almost done (Cosplay FF7 group).
And the obvious...
BARACK OBAMA FOR THE WIN. Now the healing can begin.
And now for something completely different...

You better make good on that promise of Axel-love.
Who did you first cosplay as?
First Convention cosplay: Deidara from Naruto. Those were...interesting days.
Halloween 05 I was Junior from Xenosaga, It was the height that really made that cosplay convenient. I think I still have that coat somewhere.
When and where did you first cosplay?
Connecitcon 06. It was supposed to be at AB 06 but my Mum broke her leg, I ended up meeting the same people (mostly) that I planned on seeing anyway.
When and where was the last time you cosplayed?
It was NYAF 08? Maybe? Or perhaps CtCon 08? So New York or Connecticut.
Who have you cosplayed as in the past?
Jr. (Xenosaga), Deidara and Younger Deidara (Naruto), Zexion (KH), there was this once incident with Luna Lovegood, Victoria (Hellsing) (for like...a day or two), and I'm half done with Elena for our FF7 Turk group.
Who is your favourite person to cosplay as?
Well Deidara was good fun, but the problem with Cosplay is that you experience is dependent on your company, and your characters fandom. So probably Zexion.
Who do you REALLY wanna cosplay as?
So many things...
I have Yuffie and Elena (FF7) in plans for this year.
Bridget (Guilty Gear) is in the making as well.
I'm pretty sure me and Axel are going to end up doing a shitty Merry and Pippin one year XD.
Tira (Soul Calibur 3 or 4)
Flonne (Disgaea)
Masamune Date (Samurai Warriors 1)
Marlene (Okage)...I pray soon, but I have to rope

into it.
Someone from FF9.
A lot of things but I want to finish all my current stuff first.
How many of your friends cosplay?
Most if not all, that's sort of the only way I make friends XD.
Have you ever walked around in public in your cosplay outfit?
Yeah, I used to go to the park a lot. It was all semi-casual though, you don't want a lot of negative attention in the city.
Have people in public ever recognized you and asked for photos?
Yeah, once when I went to Barnes and Nobles, I had this one boy go "Itachi!?" I guess he was reading the English Manga there, saw the coat and figured I just didn't have a wig.
Although my lovely Sakura has this great story:
She was in a Japanese bookstore all dressed up when a young little Japanese girl spots her, puts her hand to her mouth, smiles, blushes, and then promptly runs away with giddiness. I love Sakura.
Have you ever made your own cosplay outfit?
I made Juniors outfit myself, I make most of the props that I need (Lexicon, clay stuff, e.t.c. I have an ex who was really talented with props, very fitting to her character, so I just sort of wing it now.
I plan on making Elena's myself since it's easier then anything ever.
What was your favourite cosplay experience?
I guess my first con? It was the naive happy stage where I was exploring the environment without any corruption yet. That didn't last very long but it was tons of fun. Actually Connecticon 07 was probably better since I was a veteran and got to ruin other peoples character perceptions. Plus now I have, what I hope are, much better cosplay.
What is your worst cosplay experience?
Worst? Probably...Connecticon 08. I'm good at holding grudges and It didn't end on the cheeriest note, either way It's usually fun.
When and where did you first learn of cosplay?
My Anko and I just decided we should go one day, we'd known about cosplay for a while and were accomplished Japanophiles by then. We put together shitty-ish cosplay and went on a train to the exciting land of Connecticut.
What did you think of it then?
I don't remember very well but it was probably something along the lines of "Wow! Those people are the coolest ever".
What do you think of it now?
"Well that ruined Halloween forever."
Where do you usually cosplay?
Primarily conventions, but on occasion I have photo shoots with NYC and CT friends.
Have you ever done a cosplay skit on stage?
I'd probably get up there and realize I was the center of attention, and then promptly pass out.
Have you ever won a prize for said skit?
If I said yes would you believe me even though I just said I never was in one?
Do you plan your cosplay outfits waaay before youre meant to wear them?
I used to never plan ahead, now i don't usually but I have a lot of cosplay I would LIKE to do. I have a friend who has a severe case of this.
Have you ever been to a convention and cosplayed?
No. Obviously never.
I like how this question is AFTER ALL the other ones like it.
Ever have something terrible happen to your outfit?
I have blood on my organization XIII coat. Oh and there's the time I flashed one of my friends when I asked them to help me bind, that was a fun day.
What is the best thing about cosplay?
The people you meet (although I'm not that much of a social person now),
It's nice when you make a really obscure anime joke and people laugh instead of staring at you like leprosy has burst out on your face. School is a good example of the latter.
What is the worst thing about cosplay?
When people get vicious and act like 8 year old girls, the drama and bitch-fighting, and of course the people who claim to be the first cosplayer of something, or that they are the best.
Why do you cosplay?
It's a hobby with a wide-spectrum of fandoms and interests. (Which is a fancy way of saying it's part of a lot of hobbies. You make friends and you get to be geeky together, it's worth the time and money.
Now Tag 3 Other Cosplayers?

- Because your always interesting XD.

- I want to hear about that Kuja cosplay I know you'll be amazing at.
Also whoever else wants to do this, please, I implore you.
